Conceptions of death and dying are a vast, multidimensional collection. The capacity for literature and other art forms to exert influence on these sociocultural views presents an opportunity. I propose a rationale for the merits of imaginative depictions of death in literature and film as a means to go beyond entrenched tropes, which impede the transformation of views on death.
This project is an act of living. The intention is to inspire readers and viewers to slow down, cultivate new awareness, and consider which books, films, music, and poems ignite your imagination about what’s next.
